Leah Fard, RN
Executive Consultant, Senior Family Planning & Cognitive Decline Specialist
Born and raised in Calgary, Leah Fard brings 25 years of experience as a Registered Nurse, with a Bachelor of Nursing from the University of Calgary. Her journey in healthcare began when she was only 16, working as a unit aide and personal care attendant with seniors.

Over the years, she worked across a range of complex medical environments, including Internal Medicine and Surgical/Trauma units, where she cared primarily for older adults with multiple medical conditions. She spent the past 15 years in Emergency Nursing, consistently choosing to work with senior patients and pursuing ongoing certifications in geriatric care.
As a wife, mother, and daughter, she too has navigated the care and support of her aging parents and understands firsthand the emotional, mental, and physical toll cognitive decline can have on a family. An overwhelming feeling that was only lessened through the knowledge and support system she created for her parents, and herself.

Now, as a dementia doula, Leah supports families through one of the most tender and challenging journeys of their lives. Her approach combines clinical expertise with deep compassion and lived experience. She believes being proactive is one of the greatest gifts you can give your family—helping reduce stress, avoid unnecessary crisis, and make space for more presence, understanding, and peace.

Leah is able to walk alongside you with care, clarity, and guidance—because you don’t have to do this alone.
